1st Active.com Article!

Friends & family, please read/forward/share/link/tweet/like/etc my first active.com article! My degree is in journalism and I worked as a magazine editor pre-kids. Many of you know I'm working on a nonfiction triathlon manuscript and would like to publish traditionally (hint: this is hard.) Opportunities like my volunteer role within active.com's triathlon community and writing articles for active.com help prove I have a platform, a way to connect with MANY readers/buyers.

I took San Diego Track Club Coach Paul Greer's run clinic at GOTRIbal's Annual Conference and Retreat in San Diego this month. I loved Paul's coaching style and enjoyed the clinic. GOTRIbal had a great lineup of speakers, a cool expo, awesome food and a beautiful venue.
Paul's bio: Paul Greer is an associate professor in Health and Exercise Science at San Diego City College, has a Master’s Degree in Physical Education and has 25 years coaching experience. He ran the mile in under four minutes (3:59.79), was a 1992 U.S. Olympic Trials qualifier at 1500 meters with a 3:39.05 and competed on the European track circuit post college. He coaches for the San Diego Track Club and works with over 700 runners as director of the Rockin’ ‘N’ Runnin’ marathon training program.
Question for You:
- What writing project are you working on?
- What's your quickest mile?

I liked your article :) I think I used to cross my arms when I raced, not sure if I do it anymore. I've been working on arm strength, I think that's helped.
I just recently started a blog, that is my current writing project. I haven't done much writing in the past few years so I'm working on improving my blog writing as of now.
When I was my fastest in H.S. I ran a 5:13 1500, just short of a mile. I believe it converts to just under 5:40 mile. I don't know that I will ever be running a mile for time again but I would love to reach that again. I have run a 6 flat in some 5ks, usually when I go out to fast!
Nice job on the article!! Isn't it nice to see things starting to come together career-wise? Keep your eyes on that vision and hold on tight!!
I liked your article too!!
Hope your book comes together!! I would definitely buy it!
I am currently working on an English paper for school, and it is about one of our childhood memories. It is really hard to choose one!!
Thanks Katie, Kelly Tanya & Chloe! Thanks for reading & commenting. It encourages me & helps with my project. Thank you!
I think my fastest mile was around 6:30 when I was in my early 30's... haven't done that in YEARS... I am a slow runner, but love to run and will continue to do so as long as my body will let me.
I will be teaching at a women's retreat this spring - so I will be writing that out... does that count?
